In this course, students will focus on the different aspects of culture and how to engage in effective intercultural communication. Students will learn basic etiquette in interacting with culture to obtain a more heightened awareness and acceptance of differences. They will engage in group activities, discuss case studies and present their own cultural understandings (or misunderstandings).

The course will help students develop both a theoretical and practical understanding of intercultural communication in a global context.

Furthermore, students will build on and expand their language capabilities. They will start with a self-assessment of their language after which they will learn to set realistic goals and utilize existing language tools in order to achieve their set goals.

Students will also work with tools to continue building on their language skills
