Legal English is not a native language; on the contrary, it is even difficult for native English speakers. The writing conventions of legal English are very dissimilar and more complicated than general/business English. Legal English is particularly idiosyncratic in the context of syntax and fundamental sentence elements.

The workshop offers the possibility for students to work intensively on their spoken and written legal English.

A large part of the workshop focuses on understanding legal texts and legal dialogues.

Students are given the chance to study in small groups and do presentations on cases that are relevant to the field of Inforecht and Lizenzrecht.
